1. Scenic Hudson's Long Dock Park

One of the best things about our area is the beautiful fall colors set on the landscape of the expansive Hudson River. Long Dock Park has both! Plus, through the fall, families can take a scenic boat trip to Bannerman's Castle on Pollepel Island for more beautiful sites (and activities!).
2. Hudson Highlands State Park
Location: 3260 NY-9D, Cold Spring, NY 10516 (trailheads at various locations)
Hudson Highlands State Park stretches across the east side of the Hudson River from Peekskill to Beacon! There are dozens of toddler-friendly trails within the park for an ultimate leaf-peeping experience all around you including Dennings Point, Little Stony Point, and the Cornish Estate trail. If you have older kids, the hike up Mount Beacon is a must-do for the most breathtaking views!

Boscobel offers unparalleled views of the Hudson River from its beautiful location just south of Dutchess County (specifically Fishkill/ Beacon). Leaf peepers will be amazed at the sites of the river, Constitution March, and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point from Boscobel's Great Lawn! Boscobel's Gardens, Grounds, Woodland Trail, and new Gallery are fully open Fridays-Mondays from 9 am to sunset.

This beautiful location sounds like something out of a children's book filled with trolls but is truly a must-see spot for fall foliage. The 34-foot bridge Appalachian Trail bridge over the Great Swamp in Pawling is truly an experience! After the Great Swamp drive up Route 22 north from Pawling toward Millerton for a fantastic fall drive!
5. Bowdoin Park
Location: 85 Sheafe Rd, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590
