It's been a very long week. Started off great with a trip to Diggerland USA and Sahara Sam's Oasis in West Berlin NJ (about 2.5 hours from here but so worth it). However on the way home, and 18 wheeler decided our lane was now his lane, and caused my husband to break REALLY hard and cross some lanes to avoid a major accident. Unfortunately in doing so we blew the break lines and had to spend 7 glorious hours in a garage getting the car fixed. It was NOT fun with the kids, and the longest 7 hours I've had in a really long time. They did enjoy the vending machine food for dinner however :/
Yes I know it could have been a whole lot worse, but I have no desire to do that ever, ever again. Always something right?
At least the end of the week was dull lol. Back to school shopping is completed, kids are getting ready to head to NC for some time with the in laws and in 4 short weeks school will start for them. Have your kids been keeping up with summer homework and reading? Mine have, I don't want that mad rush the week before school starts to deal with it.
We're planning to start a dedicated article for charity events in the area, assuming there's sufficient interest. If your child's school is having a breakfast at Applebees, your girl scout troop is holding a bake sale, if you're running a local 5k race, collecting goods for a shelter, know Hannifords is collecting food for the Holidays, whatever the reason, we'll add it to the article.
